Minor in Science Communication and Policy
The Science Communication and Policy minor is a joint offering of the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC) and the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy.
Through required courses and electives such as The Rhetoric of Scientific Inquiry, Science, Technology, and Public Policy, and Communicating Science and Technology to the Public, this minor provides an in-depth look at how science communication affects public understanding, shapes policy, and influences research and global health.
Students have the option to participate in a 3- to 6-credit-hour study abroad experience in AI and journalism, offered by CNN in partnership with LMC. The minor is open to all undergraduate students in any major.
